Nudist Life in an Apartment Building
Living as a nudist in an apartment building that literally has no public nudity in the rental agreement can be a challenge. You can't just answer the door for example. You have to yell through the door that you need a minute to get to them. Then put on clothing quick and go see what they want. I honestly don't often get people at my door than God, but it can happen.
Wellness checks: Well in my building we need to put a sign out that says "I'm OK" on the door every morning before 9am, or the person checking bangs on the door and starts yelling, "are you OK in there?" There have been times I've forgotten the dang sign and had the inconvenience of having to yell through the door that I'm fine. I often wonder if she ever thinks why I don't open the door to talk to her face to face.
There have been times I wanted to talk to the lady that checks on us. These are times I have to get dressed and wait for her to come down the hall, then I open the door and talk to her. Most of the time it's about something in the building that is being put on by the organization that does these kinds of things - but often it's to donate the tone of bottles I have stored up over the many months since I last gave them to her.
There are other people in the building that are nudists I've found out. I have no idea who they are, but talking to others, they know the person and that they are nudists. One lady often comes to the laundry room in just a t-shirt that is not all that long. It in essence hides about nothing, as she often ends up bending to pick things up and you end up seeing it in full. Being that I think we should have the ability to be nude in all public areas, I'm rather fine with that. I on the other hand want to live here, and go out of my way to be fully dressed when out and about.
To be honest, the ability to do laundry in the nude would be a blessing, as you could get all of your clothing clean at the same time, just not the towel you are sitting on. Being I don't have clothing on most of the time, it takes a long time for it to get dirty and the laundry is spread out some for me. Unlike some who need to do it every week, it's over a month until I need to do it. That being said, I'm long overdue for washing bedding and towels.
It would be nice to have an aria with tables and chairs where it would be OK to hang out nude and socialize. I would very much like to hang out with others of my kind, and not knowing who they are, makes that next to impossible. Also given the range of people in this building, some with criminal pasts and some with deep mental issues, it may not be the most safe of things to be naked in an open space like that. You have to think about that, sadly.
It would be nice to come into a lot of money and be able to move to a place where I could be nude 24/7/365 - even when shopping. That is my dream. However, I wonder about access to health care in a nudist village. About once every 2 months I need to be rushed to the ER and often it is serious. So to live in a place with no hospital or EMS, it would be a great risk to my life. If what happened to me on October 1, 2025 happened in a village 3 hours from a hospital, I might have been toast.
The optimum for me would be to have the ability to live in an apartment building that is completely clothing optional. One where I could socialize. Here, there are activities like cards and game nights, but I'm just not interested in it being that most of them think nothing like me, and are not nearly as smart as I am. This makes me uncomfortable, as we have almost nothing in common.
But a clothing optional game night would be so much fun I think. We could close the doors and have a sign up warning people. But this is not going to happen, and I fully realize it. Oh well, I can dream of more freedom.
There have been a couple of times I has in my chair blasting music on the headphones and did not hear the door, and maintenance walked in and for an eye full. LOL. This has always come from them not telling me the person is coming over. They are supposed to give 24 hors notice and on occasion don't. Or they are looking for the source of a leak, and just walk in to check, as I've not answered the door. One was the guy to fix the fridge. I had no warning at all that he was coming, and in he walked on me.
In any event, it can be problematic in an apartment building. But I've got no complaints after they just bloody walked in on me. I can't see that happening, as I had no reasonable opportunity to know they where coming in. It's all on them in those cases. I tend to listen to around 40 hours of music a week, and have the headphones on a lot. So it's probably going to happen again eventually. It is however extremely rare.
Stay free my friends and live the good life.
